This Privacy Policy explains how BidMax LLC ("BidMax," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the BidMax Chrome extension, mobile app, or website (collectively, the "Service").
Information We Collect
Via Google sign-in (optional):
- Your email address, name, and Google account ID
Automatically:
- A device identifier we generate to enforce free daily usage limits
- Usage and analytics data: actions in the Service (scans, analyses revealed, upgrades), app version, device type, and OS
- App settings you choose (ROI target, buyer's premium, thresholds, theme), and which lots you've revealed or requested — stored on your device and, in some cases, associated with your account on our servers
- On the Chrome extension: the extension reads auction listing data (titles, images, bids) from BidRL pages you visit in order to display analysis. It does not record your browsing history.
Purchases:
- Subscription status and transaction identifiers from Apple, Google, Stripe, and RevenueCat. We do not receive or store your full payment card details; those are handled by the payment provider.
We do not intentionally collect precise location or sensitive categories of personal data.
How We Use Information
- Provide and operate the Service (sign-in, analyses, Top Picks, subscriptions)
- Enforce free-tier usage limits via device identifier and account
- Process and validate subscriptions and entitlements
- Improve and secure the Service, debug issues, and understand usage trends
- Communicate with you about your account or the Service
How Analyses Work
To estimate resale value, we send lot details (title, description, and image URL from third-party auction listings) to our AI provider, Anthropic (Claude), for analysis. These are public auction listings, not your personal data. We also connect to BidRL's real-time bid feed to keep bid prices and closing times current — we do not store any BidRL user credentials.
How We Share Information
We share information only with service providers that help us run BidMax, under agreements limiting their use:
- Google — authentication (sign-in)
- Apple / Google Play / Stripe / RevenueCat — subscription billing and entitlement management
- Railway, Supabase — hosting and database
- Anthropic (Claude) — AI-generated resale estimates from listing data
- Analytics providers — to measure product usage
We may disclose information to comply with law, enforce our Terms & Conditions, or protect rights and safety. We do not sell your personal information.
Facebook / Meta Platform Integration
BidMax integrates with the Meta Platform (Facebook) to publish content to our own official BidMax Facebook Page. We use Meta's Graph API for this purpose.
- What we access: Through the Meta Graph API, BidMax uses the pages_manage_posts and pages_read_engagement permissions solely to publish posts to, and confirm publication on, the BidMax Facebook Page that we own and administer.
- What we do not do: We do not access, collect, or store personal information about Facebook users, their profiles, or their activity. We do not post to any Page, Group, or profile other than our own BidMax Page.
- Data published: The content we post is generated from publicly available liquidation auction listings and BidMax's own resale-value analysis. It does not contain personal data about any individual.
- Access tokens: We store a Meta Page access token securely on our servers, used only to publish to our own Page. It is never shared with third parties.
Because we only post to our own Page and do not collect Facebook user data, no action is required from you regarding this integration. For information about how Meta handles data, see Meta's Data Policy.
Data Retention
We keep account information while your account is active and as needed to meet legal obligations. Auction lot data in our database is automatically deleted once the auction closes. You can request deletion at any time.
Your Choices and Rights
- Access / deletion: email MatthewJrenda@gmail.com
- Subscriptions: manage or cancel in your App Store / Google Play settings or your website account
- Depending on where you live (e.g., California, EEA/UK), you may have additional rights to access, correct, delete, or port your data. Contact us to exercise them.
Children
BidMax is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Third-Party Links and Services
The Service references third-party sites such as auction listings on BidRL. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this one.
Changes
We may update this Policy. Material changes will be posted with a new "Last updated" date.
Delete Your Account & Data
You can request deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time. To do so, email us at MatthewJrenda@gmail.com with the subject line Account Deletion Request and include the email address associated with your account. We will process your request within 30 days.
Deleting your account will remove your Google sign-in association, usage records, and any stored preferences from our servers. Auction lot data is already purged automatically when auctions close.
Terms & Conditions
Your use of BidMax is also governed by our Terms & Conditions.
